The campus

Hi everyone!

           Do you ever imagine schools without kids? I think not !! I too never imagined a school without kids. They are the ones who bring livelihood for the term "school".

            Few days ago, I visited a school. When I steped foot in the school campus,  the trees started asking, " where are the lovely kids who always roam around with a smile and without any worries?" When are they going to return , even after the summer holidays they are not here why? I didn't respond (because , I don't know the answer)

            Then I escalated the staircase. It interrupted me and asked " where are the energetic kids who always jump on me with full of energy and enthusiasm, you know, these days no one is using me , I'm alone". With that loneliness,

           I stepped into my classroom,  there all the benches were yelling at me even the speaker, the windows and the blackboard in my class. I started listening to their queries. 

             The bench stepped up with it's query, "I'm missing my friends who use me daily and always scribble something on me. I was so proud that I'm the only thing in the class who was useful all the time. Where are my friends?" And it continued, I felt the loneliness so I made these dust particles as my friends so they are the only one who hug me with their dust. I'm speechless. 

              Next , the window interrupted. I asked how it is feeling, it said that ,"I was always closed ,no one is there to bother me. The purpose for why I'm meant to be is vain now.

            As soon as the window finished it's talk, the blackboard stared, " I lost the communication with the chalk. In the Morning  some lively kid , woke me up by changing the date. I don't know when I'm going to retrieve the link with my chalk".

            Amidst all these questions,  I felt the heaviness in my heart and emptiness too.

             While I returned to home, I looked for the dog, which always roams around in campus by eating the waste food or snacks which are leftover by the students. It was not there. I thought maybe it moved out to some other place for food.

             I realized that, schools are nothing  without the kids. There are only walls and buildings which remain still.

             I assure that , after this pandemic situation while kids shouting and laughing in the school the teachers will feel happiness and fullness in their hearts.

         Eagerly waiting for the day to meet our lovely and enthusiastic kids. The campus will become alive too.
